Super Bowl Sunday — a day for the big game, big televisions, big parties and big batteries.
For one Louisburg man, big batteries were his ticket to Super Bowl LII. These were not just ordinary, every day C or D batteries, but huge lithium ion batteries filling six large cabinets in a 58-foot long trailer.
Josh Ludlum was in Minneapolis to manage the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and the batteries that make it uninterruptible. The UPS was the last line of defense to make sure NBC did not go off the air during its biggest event of the year.
