The first thing you’ll notice about fans in Kansas City is they love their sports teams. And with good reason. Kansas City is a sports enthusiasts dream town. They have it all from NASCAR races to major league football to minor league hockey and to women’s roller derby.
Football
If football is your game, there’s no better place to be than pre-season in Kansas City, the home of the 2020 Superbowl champions Kansas City Chiefs. After decades without a Superbowl win, in the 2019-2020 season, the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.
The Chief’s play in Arrowhead Stadium, often called one of the world’s finest stadiums and has long held a reputation for being one of the toughest and loudest outdoor stadiums for opposing players.1

As of press time, the 2020-2021 schedule has not been released, but the Energy Battery Group Convention in August happens during the pre-season. If there’s a pre-season game, you could also plan on a game-day tour which includes the press box, Hall of Honor and 20 minutes on the sidelines.
Baseball
The 2015 World Series champions, the Kansas City Royals, call Kauffman Stadium (The K) home. The K is one of the crown jewel ballparks of Major League Baseball often considered one of the game’s most beautiful ballparks. The K has seen it’s share of many exciting games including the 1973 and 2012 All-Star Games, three no-hitters, playoff games in 1976, ‘77, ‘78, ‘80, ‘81, ‘84, ‘85, 2014 and ‘15 with 13 World Series tilts in 1980, 1985, 2014 and 2015.2
In 2014 and 2015, the Royals went to the world series. Denied a win by the Giants in 2014, the Royals returned to the World Series in 2015 and dispatched the Mets in five games.

Basketball
