MARIETTA, GA – August 2, 2019 – Energy Battery Group showed its commitment to serving the community by raising over $24,000 for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The funds were donated by Energy Battery Group members and vendors at the organization’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention.
“We are truly humbled by the generosity and compassion of the Energy Battery Group members and vendors who supported Shriners Hospitals for Children,” says Rick Hallock, president of Energy Battery Group. “The success of the fundraiser surpassed all of our expectations.”
Energy Battery Group set an annual fundraising goal of $25,000 for Shriners Hospitals for Children, hoping to raise $10,000 toward that goal during the Energy Battery Group 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention, which was held in Memphis, Tennessee from July 16-19.
During the convention, Energy Battery Group members and vendors contributed over $24,000, almost meeting the organization’s fundraising goal for the entire year. Energy Battery Group members supported Shriners Hospitals for Children by making donations via a dedicated online fundraising page and by purchasing raffle tickets during the 2019 Annual Meeting and Convention.
Energy Battery Group was founded in 1996 with 19 North American locations. Over the years, the organization has had the good fortune to expand to over 190 distribution centers in the United States, Canada, and South America. Giving back to the community is both a benefit and a responsibility of being a successful business.
“As a company that is always striving to improve the quality of life for our people and our business partners, we know how important it is to pay it forward,” says Hallock. “That is why we have chosen to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. We hope that, in some small way, our contribution will help to improve the quality of life for children and families in need.”
Shriners Hospitals for Children is changing lives every day through innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research, and outstanding medical education. They have served over 1.3 million children and families since opening their doors in 1922. Their 22 locations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico provide advanced medical care for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.
All of the medical treatments at Shriners Hospitals for Children are provided regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Even if a family does not have health insurance, their child can still get medical treatment at Shriners Hospitals for Children. That is why Shriners relies on generous donations from organizations like Energy Battery Group.
“It is amazing to read all of the stories on the Shriners website and know that our donations are truly making a difference for children and families,” says Hallock. “We are planning to increase our annual fundraising target to keep the momentum going.”
